Rules
It’s completely understandable to be emotionally attached to a character which you’ve invested many hours in creating. You can try to remove as much as of yourself away from a character, but we know there will always be a tiny fraction of YOU in them. That’s fine. We get that because believe it or not, we’re like that, too! Having said that, we do expect members of the community to have the maturity to see the difference between what is said and done IC and that it is not necessarily the viewpoint, opinion and/or action held by the player behind the character. Celeb Lines is FIRST and FOREMOST, a threading based community. AIM is optional. We will never force any member to interact through AIM, nor should any other force it on another. Obviously activity will be monitored and gauged by the comments and posts made by members of the community. As such, there is NO update limit. We’ll trust that each player will hold no more than 2 characters at a time. However, should this system be taken advantaged of, we will start to screen applications and members will be forced to let the maintainers know if they are playing multiple characters in the game. It’s just fair. Inactivity. If a member fails to introduce themselves and/or show no signs of activity (i.e. comments, an introduction, posts, etc) within 7 days of joining, they will be warned. Should there no activity within 3 days of being warned (unless they provide a good reason for the inactivity), they will be removed. If you’ve read this far and liked what you see, just drop us a line in the post below and ask for memberships to celeblines and celeblineooc. Also add celeblinemod as a friend.
Notes
Noted #1: Due to the format of this game, HOLDS aren’t necessary. All we ask is that you apply below, introduce yourself to the community via celeblines and get active. If you wish, you can post an introduction in your journal, but again, this isn’t necessary.
Noted #2: Private scenes are allowed between members in locked posts. Public scenes are highly encouraged. Maintainers will post frequently with discussion topics and / or random scenes.
Noted #3: It’s unfortunate, but we have decided that “scene queens” and “myspace celebrities” and the like are NOT celebrities. The reason for this is that we want a community where each character’s interaction with another is feasible in the real world. That is, there’s a chance that these characters/celebrities would bump into each other at a premiere of a movie or work together on a project. Not randomly see their Myspace and decide that it’s someone they want to talk to. That makes sense, right?
